  We understand it is the holiday period and nobody wants to be at work but my family and I came in this afternoon for a late lunch and were given horrible service, a staff member took pastries out of the counter in front of us whilst we were looking at buying them and then said they were trying to pack up to close yet weren't closing for another hour and 15mins. We were then served some eggs that one was off and the staff tried to deny it rather than even apologising. Our steak Sandwhich bread was as hard as a rock... Such a terrible franchise, will never visit a Michels again.

  Eggs & Bacon on Toasted Sour dough. Ordered at 1010. Had to ask what was happening @ 1030. Told they had heaps of kitchen orders. Rubbish I was there watching. 1045 Arrived no sorry. Staff all look grumpy. Toasted sour dough hard as Rock, Asked for soft fried eggs, To overdone. Plate was badly chipped. Crap service. for Crap Food. Avoid people. I am older person of 72 but treated like I should not be on the planet yet alone at Firle.

  I've been going to Michels for many years now and they are hands down one of the best cafes in the area. Great staff, excellent food and great service. The recent renovations improve seating numbers and make for a great alfresco experience. A++
